Terms and Conditions

Last updated November 4, 2026

1. Acceptance of these terms

Portfolio Nepal is a portfolio tracker and market analytics service for shares listed on the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), operated by Peridot Pvt. Ltd. (“we”, “us”). These terms apply to the website portfolionepal.com and the Portfolio Nepal mobile app for Android and iOS (together, the “Service”).

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy, which explains what information we collect and how we use it. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Who can use the Service

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, and able to enter into a binding agreement. If you use the Service for a company or other organization, you confirm that you are allowed to accept these terms on its behalf.

3. Your account

  • You sign in with Google or Apple. Keep that account secure; anything done through your account is your responsibility.
  • Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • One person per account. Do not share, sell or transfer your account.
  • Tell us straight away at info@portfolionepal.com if you think someone else has used your account.
  • Your Portfolio Nepal account is shared with Share Gyan (sharegyannepal.com), which is also operated by Peridot Pvt. Ltd. Closing one closes the other.

4. MeroShare sync and IPO applications

The Service can sync your holdings from MeroShare, and on the website you can link a MeroShare account so we can apply for IPOs on your behalf. MeroShare is run by CDS and Clearing Ltd., not by us. When you use these features:

  • Only connect MeroShare accounts that are yours or that you are authorized to use.
  • You are responsible for keeping your MeroShare login, transaction PIN and CRN correct and secure. How we store them is described in the Privacy Policy.
  • You decide which IPOs to apply for and remain responsible for those applications, including having enough funds in your bank account. Check the result in MeroShare.
  • Sync and IPO applications depend on MeroShare being available and unchanged. We cannot guarantee that a sync or an application will succeed, and we are not responsible for a missed or rejected application.
  • Check synced holdings against MeroShare or your broker before relying on them.

5. No investment advice

Portfolio Nepal is an information tool. Nothing in the Service, including portfolio analytics, charts, signals, community posts and answers from PortAI, is investment, financial, legal or tax advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security.

PortAI answers are generated by AI models. They can be incomplete, out of date or wrong. Do your own research or speak to a licensed adviser before you make an investment decision. You alone are responsible for your investment decisions and their results.

6. Market data and third-party sources

Prices, company information, corporate actions and other market data come from third parties, including NEPSE and other public sources. Data may be delayed, incomplete or contain errors, and calculations such as profit and loss depend on that data and on the records you provide. We provide data “as is” and do not guarantee that it is accurate, complete or timely. Confirm important figures with your broker, MeroShare or NEPSE.

The Service may link to or rely on third-party services, such as MeroShare, Google and Apple sign-in, and payment providers. Those services have their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.

7. Paid plans, payments and refunds

  • Some features on portfolionepal.com need a paid plan. The current plans, prices and what each includes are shown on the website before you pay.
  • Plans are paid outside the Service, using eSewa, IME Pay or mobile banking. Your plan starts once we have verified your payment details. Submitting false or someone else's payment details may lead to your account being suspended.
  • A plan lasts for the period you paid for. It does not renew automatically; to continue, you pay again.
  • We may change plans and prices. Changes do not affect a period you have already paid for.
  • Payments are generally non-refundable once a plan has been activated, except where required by law. If you were charged in error or paid but your plan was not activated, email us and we will look into it.
  • The mobile app has no in-app purchases and does not take payments.

8. Acceptable use

When you use the Service, do not:

  • break any law, including the securities laws and rules of Nepal;
  • post content in the community that is false, misleading, abusive, or that promotes market manipulation, “pump and dump” schemes or insider trading;
  • post content you do not have the right to share, or other people's personal information;
  • scrape, copy or resell data from the Service, or access it with bots or automated tools, without our written permission;
  • try to get around paid-plan limits, break our security, or interfere with the Service or other users;
  • reverse engineer the Service, except where the law allows it.

You are responsible for what you post. We may remove content that breaks these terms.

9. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, text, logos and the Portfolio Nepal and PortAI names, belongs to Peridot Pvt. Ltd. or its licensors. You may use the Service for your own personal investing. You may not copy, modify or distribute any part of it without our permission.

Your portfolio data stays yours. When you post in the community, you give us permission to show that content in the Service for as long as it remains posted.

10. Suspension, termination and account deletion

You can stop using the Service at any time. You can delete your account in the mobile app or by email; see Delete your account for the steps and for what is deleted and kept. Deletion is permanent, also closes your Share Gyan account, and does not entitle you to a refund for a plan you have already paid for.

We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if we must do so by law, or to protect the Service or other users. Where reasonable, we will tell you first. We may also change or stop parts of the Service.

11. Limitation of liability

We work to keep the Service accurate and available, but it is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.

To the extent the law allows:

  • we are not liable for investment losses, missed opportunities, lost profits, or for loss caused by data errors, delays, outages, MeroShare or other third-party services, or decisions you make using the Service;
  • our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under the law of Nepal.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Nepal. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of Nepal. Before going to court, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue informally.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the Service or the law changes. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we will let you know in the Service. If you keep using the Service after a change, you accept the updated terms.

14. Contact
